This T-Shirt that was autographed by David while at the American Idol's Live tour stop in Washington, DC is now up on eBay!. The front of the shirt says "Conquer Cancer" and the back has our website, www.cookfanscc.com, printed on it. David signed the shirt, with the full knowledge that it would be put up on eBay with proceeds of the auction to be donated to the Cook Fans Conquering Cancer American Cancer Society Donations. The proceeds will go to Team Virginias & DC, as they were the ones who got the shirt signed for me!
For video of the discussion with David and to see him sign the shirt, copy this url to your browser to watch this on YouTube (signing happens at around 4:00): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVWw_aTaRJk.
David wants the shirt to go for a lot of money, as you can see by his signature. He signed the shirt, "make that $$$! David Cook."

As many of you know, I have been working on this project for a while now. I finally launched the new DC Charity site last night and wanted to spread the word to all of my Sugar friends and David Cook fans! :) The site is a joint venture with a few moderators over at www.david-cook.org.
So...Here is the Official Announcement!
I am happy to announce a new website designed to be a "One Stop Shop" for the various David Cook Inspired Fan Projects in Support of The American Cancer Society.
David Cook fans are AMAZING and there are so many different projects, teams, and various fundraisers out there right now that are all working towards the same goal. If we can get all of them listed on the site it will give someone who wants to donate to the cause many options to choose from. Let’s work together!
The American Cancer Society is very excited about everything David's fans are doing and is working very closely with us to create various donation portals on their site solely for us! Lisa (from DC.org) is working tirelessly with The Society and already has the first donation portal set up with Relay for Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Event Pages COMING SOON.
WE WANT MORE!
If you have organized a project or are thinking of creating one to benefit the American Cancer Society we want to hear from you! You can email me at email@example.com or respond to this topic with your project information. We need to make sure that all projects follow The American Cancer Society’s guidelines so please be as detailed as you can when you send your information. We encourage you to use David-Cook.org to find fellow DC fans to work with on your projects and this forum is a great place to plan and organize! At www.cookfanscc.com we will link back to any forum thread you have for your project as well!
Let’s work together to raise as much money as we can for The American Cancer Society in David’s honor!
Edited to add:
MyFoxKC has written an article on us that you can read HERE! :woohoo:
In my previous blog I mentioned the Charity Shop I was working on with a few David Cook Fans. Well, I was able to get the first painting done tonight in time for our store's Grand Opening tomorrow. :)
I will be getting it up in the shop tomorrow in case anyone is interesting in buying it or just wants to pass it along to other DC fans. :)
So, I mentioned this in another group, but I am working with a few other DC fans on a charity project. We are all doing crafts and selling them, with the proceeds going to The American Cancer Society. I am planning on doing a bunch of the black and white paintings that I like to do.
The paintings work best with a full body shot or a close up with a slight profile. So, here are a few options that I have found.
Let me know which you like best or if you have other suggestions!
